Marinated Tofu

This super low fat, low fodmap vegetarian dish makes a terrific meal teamed with a side salad or serve of vegetables. Once the tofu has marinated it takes just minutes to prepare.


  • 200g firm tofu, cubed
  • Juice 1 orange
  • 1 tablespoon gluten free soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger [optional]
  • 1 teaspoons cornflour
  • 2 large handfuls of Asian greens – I use spinach


1. Mix the orange juice, soy sauce, sugar and ginger in a container. Add the tofu and marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours but no longer than 12 hours.

2. Keep the marinade liquid. Remove the tofu and cook in fry pan and cook tofu until golden brown.

3. In a small dish, combine the cornflour and reserved marinade liquid and stir to dissolve the cornflour. Add it to the fry pan and continue cooking until marinade creates a sauce. Add the greens and cook over high heat until wilted.
